Tailor Internship

Studio Berend Brus is looking for a tailor intern starting.

In our Rotterdam based studio, located in the fashion community De Wasserij, we work in a small team on an array of projects, from custom orders to collections and costumes. We’re looking for a tailor talent to join the studio. We offer a dynamic internship at an independent queer genderfree fashion label. You can play a crucial role as a Tailor intern, resulting in a lot of creative freedom and responsibilities. You’ll work closely with the designer yourself so you really become a part of the team. You are assured of a challenging and educational function.

 
Your responsibilities includes;
-Create prototypes for fittings and execute them
-Advise for relevant topics such as materials and their care
-Help with the development of projects from first sketch to a presentation
-Support of daily activities of the team
- Translate designs and ideas into patterns

Competences;
-Living in the Netherlands
-Graduated or studying a tailor apprenticeship/related studies
-Master relevant techniques of tailoring and sewing 
-Communicative and socially skilled
-Strong interest and knowledge about the fashion industry
-Flexible attitude
-Independent and assertive
-Structured and organized
-Creative and outspoken
